The Kravin' "A"s were formed in 1987 by Bruce Brand, previously the Milkshakes' drummer. For The Kravin' "A"s he switched to guitar, and was joined by members of other famous Medway garage bands. Long story short: they recorded one album, in 1988, which was released in 1991. It's very good. That's all you really need to know.
