The Monolators

Los Angeles quartet The Monolators blend 50's rock and 70's punk, with vocals resembling a mix of Jonathan Richman and Will Sheff. The drums stomp, the hands clap and the melodies tickle. For these and more reasons Don't dance, the name of their recently released third full length, is impossible advice.

Happy New Year everyone!

Thanks Dennis! You're very kind. I'm embarrassed to say that I actually hadn't heard of Will Sheef before, but I will take a look now.

Haha, well that's quite understandable. He's the singer of Okkervil River. Maybe you know them? If you hear him you'll probably wonder what similarity I'm hearing anyway!

Actually I can kind of hear it! But that dude is WAY better looking than me. He has a better voice, too.

But I bet I can kick his ass in...something, not sure what.
